There are several interesting and useful blogs for anyone interested in mapping and GIS:
  • GEOawesomeness- has lots of interesting and insightful articles
  • Google Maps blog- has articles specifically about Google's products (although it does not allow email signup)
  • Planet OSGeo (a blog aggregator) is a window into the world, work and lives of OSGeo members, hackers and contributors
  • Dragons8mycat eclectic spatial blog
  • Free Open Source GIS blog has code, tips and latest news of Open GIS Projects
  • City Labs mapping blog
